Presentation and practical information
Following the organisation of the first Graphix workshop in November 2024 at Inria Paris, and with the continued support of the Unitary Foundation, we are delighted to announce the second edition of the Graphix workshop.
It will take place at Inria Paris (48 rue Barrault, 75013 Paris, France) on 22-23 september 2025.
The numbers of attendees is limited to ~ 35 people.
Call for Contributions
Building on the lessons learned from the first edition, the structure of this year’s workshop will be slightly different, allowing more space for exploring new applications and use cases. Indeed, we believe that considering both the theoretical aspects and the potential practical applications of the software is essential, not only for robustness but, more importantly, for utility. The current plan is to alternate half-days of technical talks and half-days of hackathon-style sessions. These sessions will explore the feasability of various application: if implementation is possible, we will work on it; if not, but the idea still falls within the scope of Graphix, we will outline the next steps for development.
Given the success of the previous edition, which combined technical depth with a practical focus, we are again inviting contributed scientific talks and application suggestions for the hackathon.
We welcome submissions on all topics related to measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC), including but not limited to:
- Flow characterisations, flow-finding algorithms, and their implementations
- Graphical language (e.g., ZX) and their relationship to MBQC
- Transpilation from and to circuits
- Formal methods for the verification of quantum (MBQC) programs
- Resource optimisation
- Resource-state generation and fusion-based quantum computing
- Simulation of MBQC programs
- Early implementations of MBQC
- Physical noise models for MBQC
- Tentative applications where an MBQC framework may be beneficial (e.g., cryptography, verification, sampling, quantum networking, etc.)
Submission guidelines
The Graphix workshop is informal so a small email with a couple of lines describing what you aim at presenting will do. Please send your submission at maxime.garnier@inria.fr and thierry.martinez@inria.fr.
If you feel we have missed an important topic or are unsure whether your work fits within the workshop’s scope, please don’t hesitate to contact us. If you have application ideas for the hackthon-style part, please reach out so that we can plan accordingly.
The deadline is August 1st 2025 (AoE).
